Facial skin irregularities are mostly the result of sun damage.  fine lines and wrinkles at the corners of the eyes and around the lips are most commonly seen.  Other irregularities include rosacea, age and other dark pigmented spots and small blood vessels.

The main advantage of Starlight Facial Rejuvenation is that the procedure is non-invasive.  No needles, no incision.  This means no lost time from work or leisure activities.  Treatments take about a half hour per session and are virtually painless.  Winter is the ideal time for laser therapy. BOTOX® Cosmetic / Collagen

BOTOX® Cosmetic, collagen, and fat injections are popular nonsurgical techniques for treating wrinkles and facial lines. Most patients are pleased with the results of these minimally invasive procedures. These procedures, however, cannot correct facial sagging or achieve the same results as facelift, eyelid surgery, browlift, or skin resurfacing.

BOTOX® Cosmetic (Botox A), which was recently FDA approved for treatment of glabellar and forehead wrinkles is most effective in treating the lines and wrinkles caused by muscle contraction during facial expressions such as frowning or squinting. While the FDA approval for BOTOX® Cosmetic is specifically for the glabellar (between the eyebrows) and horizontal forehead wrinkles, it has also been used from many years for the treatment of crow’s feet around the eyes. BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected directly into the muscles in these areas in a series of injections with extremely small needles. The procedure takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to perform and the expression lines in the treatment areas will usually appear noticeably softer within a few days. While most patients are very pleased with the results, they are, however, not permanent and generally last for approximately four to six months.

Another substance used for treatment of frown lines, crow’s feet or smile lines is collagen. Collagen containing a local anesthetic is injected with a tiny needle directly into a wrinkle, a crease or a depression. The collagen enhances the soft tissues, which results in the softening of the creases or depressions replacing the natural collagen lost from the skin over time. At this time, most collagens require pretreatment testing as only a very small percentage of patients are allergic to it. SmartPeel Microdermabrasion
